Acting

Calaine Schafer is a NYC based actress. She grew up around the world, from Arizona to New Zealand, and first came to New York City to receive her BFA in theater from NYU Tisch. Through NYU, she trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.  She currently studies film and directing with Jon Shear.

Creating

Calaine is a creator, writer, producer and star of the award- winning web series, BE Bettina & Elaine. 

She is currently working on an all women production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, a new series and a feature film.

Teaching

Calaine is proud to have worked with the Stella Adler Outreach Division as an "actor warrior," teaching, rehearsing and creating at such community organizations as GOSO (Get Out, Stay Out) and the Phoenix House as well as at Rikers Island as part of  the Stella Adler Studio of Acting at Rikers.
